Camloc quarter turn fasteners have become the OEM chassis constructor's virtually universal choice for body-work attachment. The smaller series (26S8: raised head; 27S3: flathead) has a 200lb working strength and 300lb ultimate strength rating; drive for both 26S8 & 27S3 is by a Phillips recess in the head. Stud lengths (L) are measured from the top of the head to the end of the pin and are available in 1/32 (.031) increments. 26S8 studs of -5 and longer length require a stud body retaining ring (2600LW) to hold them in the top panel. If float (free up & down movement of the stud body within the top panel) is desired, a stud retaining ring (2600SW) should be used instead. 27S3 studs do not require a stud body retaining ring, but do require a stud retaining ring (2600SW); 27S3 will float unless body retaining ring (27S5-1) is used There are 3 types of receptacle for 26S8/27S3 series: standard fixed (212-12; 26R6-1BB; 26R6-6BB), low profile (312-12), and threaded (99R10). Since stud length will vary depending on receptacle
